McAdams as principal and Robert J. McAdams as security, we are held and firmly bound unto THE STATE OF LOUISIANA, in the sum of One Hundred Dollars; and for the true and final payment thereof, we bind ourselves, our heirs, administrators and assigns. Signed and dated on this first day of March A. D. 1902 The condition of the above obligation is such, That Whereas, A MARRIAGE is about to take place between the above found James R. McAdams and Miss Mamie Murray and if there shall not exist any legal impediments why the marriage should not take place then the above obligation to be void; else to remain in full force and virtue, according to law. McAdams State of Louisiana, Parish of Union, Clerk's Office, Fourth District Court To any ordained Minister of the Gospel, or to any Justice of the Peace, Legally authorized according to law, to celebrate MARRIAGES within the same place, --GREETING:-- You are hereby authorized and fully empowered to unite in the Bonds of Matrimony, and Holy Wedlock, Mr. James R. McAdams and Miss Mamie Murray agreeable to Law and the usual forms and ceremonies of the State of Louisiana, in the presence of at least three male witnesses, residing within the said Parish; and that you certify the same, signed by the parties and the witnesses, with your official signature, and the due return hereof make to this office within thirty days from this date. State of Louisiana, Parish of Union I do hereby Certify, That I have on this day, in pursuance of the foregoing License, celebrated and solemnized a MARRIAGE between Mr. James R. McAdams and Miss Mamie Murray agreeable to the Laws and Customs of the State of Louisiana. In faith whereof, I have, together with the parties, and in the presence of the undersigned witnesses, signed the present, on this the 1st day of March A. D., 1902 WITNESSES: T. H. Martindale J. V. Note: James R.(ufus) McAdams was born 1876 in Union Parish and died 1949 in Union Parish, LA. He is buried at Conway Cemetery, Union Parish, LA. After Mamie died James married Katie McDougal. James was the son of David Jamison and Elizabeth Drury McAdams. Robert J. McAdams that served as security for James was his brother. All the information I have for Mamie is that she died in 1913. # # #
