(Abbeville, La.) 1856-1906, March 04, 1893, Image 3 March 4, 1893 Joseph Abshire, the young man who was stabbed in the back by Olivier Richard on the 13th of Feb. in a drunken row which took place at Philogene Meanseau's on Queue Tortue, died last Wednesday after great suffering. His death resulted from spinal paralysis due to injury of the spinal cord. source: The Meridional.
