Interment will follow in Pleasant Green Baptist Cemetery. Visiting hours will be observed Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. A resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Davenport died at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at Abbeville General Hospital. She is survived by her son, Timothy C. Davenport; a brother, James Davenport; two sisters, Lillie Johnson and Mary Joyce Davenport, all of Abbeville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Davenport was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Davenport Sr. and Lvelvie McNeal Davenport; a brother, Walter Davenport Jr.; and two sisters, Betty Frederick and Darlene Evans. A native of Abbeville, Theresa lived most of her life in the Lake Charles-Moss Bluff area. She was Catholic and an active volunteer with the Moss Bluff Sheriff’s Department, as well as member of the American Legion of Westlake. Survivors include her son, Arthur James "Pete" Doucett of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughters, Barbara Ann Evans of Moss Bluff and Dolores Marie Bourque of LeBleu Settlement; brother-in-law, Clyde Doucett; sister-in-law, Agnes Ruth Doucett; 11 grandchildren; and 15 greatgrandchildren. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 11, in Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff. Burial will be in Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. Monday. Napoleon St. Mr. Dubois died Friday, Nov. 4, in West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital. Visitation is 10 a.m.-9 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 9 a.m. Monday in the church. Mr. Dubois was born on May 16, 1928, in Abbeville to Theodore and Anice Meaux Dubois. He was an Army veteran, serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict and receiving the Army of Occupation Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville and Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 106. He was employed by The Boiling Point restaurant in Sulphur for 10 years. Pallbearers will be Coty Dubois, Jody Dubois, Brandon Trahan, Leon Brydels Jr., Roger Mays and Jeremiah Ellender. Honorary pallbearers will be John Williams, Bobby Coition and Alton Ray “Cotton” Westlund. Survivors include his children, Michael A. DUHON, Renola LCAP 02/27/2005 Born January 4, 1920 Died February 25, 2005 Renola Duhon Renola Duhon, 85, of Lake Charles died at 7:25 PM on Friday, February 25, 2005 in a local hospital. Mrs. Duhon was born in Vermilion Parish, LA, was raised in Maurice, LA and had lived in the Lake Charles and Moss Bluff area most of her life. She was a graduate of Indian Bayou High School in 1938 in Indian Bayou, LA. Mrs. Duhon retired from Muller's Department Store. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff. She was a member of The Catholic Daughters and The Altar Society for many years. She was a devout Catholic and had a special devotion to the blessed Mother Mary. Mrs. Duhon was a house wife and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include one son, Daniel Lee Duhon of Moss Bluff; two daughters, Brenda Sue Stutes and son-in-law, Richard of Peidmont, SC, and Deborah Leger and Son-in-law Roger of Ragley; three grandsons; David Duhon and Jessie of Lake Charles, Daron Duhon of Texas, and Donald Leger and wife Stephanie of Ragley; five granddaughters, Melissa Stutes Stagg and husband Larry of Greenville, South Carolina, Angela Leger of Moss Bluff, Danielle Renae' Duhon of Houston, TX, Amanda Freeman of Pasadena, TX and Melissa Kay Squires and husband Mike of Cove, AK; and twelve great grandchildren, Joseph, David Jr., Dina, Lacy, and Katie Mae Duhon, Cory and Nichole Stagg, Jeremiah, Joshua, Anna, and Abigail Leger, and Arieal Squires. Survivors also include one niece Mary Ann Bamuel and husband Bill of Leroy, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Danry Duhon, her parents Laurent and Marie (Sonnier) Reaux, her sisters Velta (Reaux) Bouque and Reah (Reaux) Broussard, two nephews John Leavens Broussard and Robert D. Broussard, and a great nephew John Leavens Bammel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 28, 2005 at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Monsignor Charles DuBois will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday from 12:00 noon until 10:00 PM with a Rosary and Scripture Service being held at 7:00 PM.
