Daigle, 95, of Lake Charles, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006, in his daughter’s home. Mr. Daigle was born in Abbeville, and lived most of his life in Port Arthur, Texas. He retired from Texaco as a cost accountant after 38 years of service. Until the time of his death, he lived in the home he and his uncle built in Port Arthur 58 years ago. Mr. Daigle was a member of United Methodist Temple in Port Arthur. Mr. Daigle was loved by everyone, always caring for the needs of others. He loved to watch his garden grow and produce vegetables for all his neighbors and friends. In his earlier years, he loved to fish when he spent time at his Crystal Beach, Texas, summer home. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Merritt and husband Al of Payson, Ariz., and Barbara Floyd and husband Dick of Lake Charles; his sister, Irene Boutte and husband Wilson of Abbeville; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Roberta G. Daigle. His funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, in Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas. The Rev. Chuck Huffman will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches, Texas. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. Saturday in Levingston Funeral Home. Brenda was born Oct. 1, 1949 and died at 7:45 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2006, at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.
