GUEYDAN — Penny Hebert, 98, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, in a local care center. 
Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, from St. Peter Catholic Church of Gueydan. Burial will be
in Gueydan Cemetery under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home of Gueydan

ABBEVILLE — Services for Mrs. Elizabeth “Lizzie” House, 96, the former Elizabeth Levine, will be conducted at 4 p.m.
Monday at Faith Hope Christian Fellowship Church in Abbeville with the Rev. B.K. Stevens officiating. Interment will
follow at the Greater Pleasant Green Baptist Cemetary.
Visiting hours will be Monday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. A resident of Abbeville, Mrs.
House died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at Heritage Manor in Abbeville.
She is survived by her three sons Floyd, Curley and Lloyd Bessard Sr., all of Abbeville; and three daughters, Dorothy
Darby of Abbeville, Eline Carr of Effingham, Ala., and Florence Levy Chilton of Dayton, Ohio; and a host of
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mrs. House was preceded in death by her parents, Whitfield and Nora Hughes Levine; two sons, Will Bessard and R.C.
Bessard; and several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Curley Bessard, Cecil Fruge, Roland Sinegal, Roy J. Harris, Robert Esaw III and Thomas Bessard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Bessard, Floyd Bessard, Robert C. Bessard Sr. and Steven Warren.
Fletcher Funeral Home of Abbeville is in charge of arrangements.
