Daily Iberian Saturday, October 14, 2006 Services for Elisse Jesse “T-Blanc” Oliva, 77, of New Iberia will be conducted Monday, Oct. 16, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in David Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Wilson officiating. Visiting hours will be observed on Sunday from 4 p.m.. until 10 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7p.m. in David Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home. A native of Abbeville, and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Oliva died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006 at 11:37 A.M. in his residence. Mr. Oliva retired after many years of working in the oilfield. He was a member of the Cajun French Music Association, and he enjoyed going to dances and being with friends and family. Mr. Oliva was a member of the Catholic faith. Survivors include a son, Elton James Oliva and wife, Regina of New Iberia; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Oliva of Houston, TX; special companion, Alma Delcambre of New Iberia; three brothers, Francis Oliva of Lydia, Clarence Oliva, Sr. and wife, Mary Lou of Coteau, and Edward Oliva and wife, Dean of New Iberia; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Mr. Oliva is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dora Madeleine Liccioni Oliva; parents, Moleus and Edith Romero Oliva; a son, Calvin Francis Oliva; and a sister, Gladys Myers. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
