Mrs. Louis Abadie. - Mrs. Aline Frechede, widow of the late Louis Abadie, the 
oldest resident of the town, died at 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at the advanced age 
of 87 years, 5 months and 6 days. She was born at Tarbes, Hautes Pyrennes, 
France, and emigrated to this country with her husband and settled at Abbeville 
in 1856, where her husband went into business. He died here of yellow fever 
during the epidemic of 1867. They had three children, Joseph, who died in 1894, 
Ulysse who married Sophie Frank, and Pepilla who married N.C. Young. The 
grandchildren alone survive. The funeral took place Monday morning and was 
largely atteneed (sic), interment being made in the old Catholic cemetery.
