The remains of Mr. P.O. Broussard, who departed this life on Friday, March 1st at 
the age of 75, was brought to this place on Saturday of last week, and deposited 
in the family vault in the Catholic cemetery. He was a useful member of society, 
and filled offices of trust and honor in this parish, and sent to the Legislature 
of this State in 1858. He leaves numerous friends and relatives to mourn their 
loss. 'Tis thus our old land-marks are erased by the hand of time. Peace to his 
ashes!
