Creamer marykcreamer@yahoo.com February 16, 2017, 11:58 pm source: Abbeville Meridional (Vermilion Parish, Louisiana), vol. 83, Saturday, January 07, 1933 Died, on Sunday, Dec. 25th, 1932, at 6 o'clock in the afternoon, Joseph Bussy, aged 85 years, beloved husband of Christina Keiffer, a native of Belgium, and a resident of Erath, La., for the past 39 years. Two sons, Victor and Walter, and three daughters, Mrs. M. Bendahan and Mrs. Joseph E. Rodi, of New Orleans, and Myrtle, survive him, together with 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Coming over from Belgium in the year 1868, he later settled in the town of Erath. He was employed for more than 35 years in the service of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company. A son, Paul (Gus), was killed in action in the World War. Services were conducted from the Catholic Church, burial taking place in the Catholic Cemetery.
