DESORMEAUX DIES IN LAFAYETTE, TUESDAY. - Jean Cleobule Desormeaux died at his home in Lafayette on Tuesday, June 23, 1931, at 3:40 p.m., aged 55 years, 4 months and 6 days. The funeral which took place on Thursday, June 24, at 8:30 a.m., with a Requiem Mass at the Catholic Church in Erath, followed by interment in the Catholic Cemetery at that place. Mr. Desormeaux was a native and former resident of Erath, La., but moved to Lafayette seven years ago where he had engaged in the manufacture of proprietary medicines. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice Desormeaux; two daughters, Mrs. Norman J. Boyer and Miss Lydia Desormeaux; three sons, J. Ashton of Lafayette; G. Nugier, student at Tulane University, New Orleans; and Levie C. of Mermentau; six sisters, Mrs. Ulinore Derouen of Belle City; Mrs. Edvar Desormeaux, and Mrs. Mose Bruno of Ged; Mrs. Jeneus Richard and Mrs. Fostin Bruno, of Erath; and Mrs. Sidney Dore of Kaplan; and five brothers, Alcide of Bell City; Joseph of Hayes; and Clemaire, Huval and Villier Desormeaux of Erath.
