GUSTAVE DUHON DIES AT THE AGE OF 68. - Funeral services for Mrs. Gustave Duhon, nee Mathilda Whittington, 68, who died at her home in the Second Ward of Lafayette Parish Sunday afternoon were held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Catholic Church in Maurice and interment took place in the Catholic cemetery there. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. Mrs. Duhon was a native and life long resident of Lafayette Parish and was the widow of Gustave Duhon, prominent planter, who death occurred ten years ago. Mrs. Duhon is survived by three sons, Dr. J.O. Duhon of this city and Ulyssee and Lucien Duhon of Lafayette Parish; four daughters, Mrs. Onezima Duhon, Mrs. Victorian Duhon, Mrs. Antoine Gulchereau and Mrs. Robert Langlinals, all of this parish; three sisters, Mrs. Raymond Simon, Mrs. Francois Duhon, and Mrs. Homer Simon, all of Lafayette Parish; two brothers, William and Louis J. Whittington, Jr. of Lafayette Parish; and 30 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were in charge of A.A. Crouchet with the Dauterive Undertaking Company.
