FERAY RITES ARE HELD - Beaumont, Texans. - Leon Joseph Feray, 75, father of Irwin Feray, died here, 2287 Liberty avenue, at about 5:30 o'clock Sunday morning of what was diagnosed as a heart attack. He had not been feeling well Saturday night and a physician was in attendance until about 3 a. m. Sunday. When members of the family went to awaken him at 7 o'clock he was dead. Mr. Feray was a native of Abbeville, La. He was one of the original employes(sic) of Phelan Grocery company, some 23 years ago. He was retired in 1935. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eva LeBlanc Leray; one sone, Irwin Feray, florist, insurance man and secretary of the Beaumont Rotary Club; three daughters, Mrs. A. A. Hauser, Beaumont; Mrs. John Montgomery, Lafayette, La., and Mrs. Chester Foucheaux, Port Arthur; six grandchildren; thre(sic) sisters, Mrs. Richard Mills, Perry, La.; Mrs. Hank Stansbury and Mrs. Albert Stansbury, of Abbeville. Services were held at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon in St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Active pallbearers were Frank Phelan, Fain McDougle, Elmer West, George Adsit, Parker Allen, Neal Phelan, R. P. Flannigan and John Montgomery. Burial took place in the Magnolia cemetery, under direction of Pipkin and Brulin.
