DIED. - Miss Rosanna Giles, in religion, Sister Philomena, departed this life 
June 4, 1891, at 8 A.M., at the Mount Carmel Convent, Abbeville, Louisiana, aged 
39 years. She had during her stay in Abbeville, endeared herself to her pupils 
and all with whom she came in contact. She was a native of New Orleans, and 
entered upon a religious life in 1874, when she made her vows. The funeral which 
took place yesterday morning was largely attended, and when her body was laid to 
its final rest in the narrow vault in the Convent grounds there was not a dry 
eye in the assemblage.
