 Funeral Services for Rose Evelyn Celestine Meaux was held at 11 am on Thurday, 
July 9, 1998 at Cabrini Catholic Church.
 A graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge and Herod High School in 
Abbeville, La. Mrs Celestine was employed by Tenneco Oil Company of Houston, 
Texas prior to he lenghthy illness.
 Mrs Celestine is survived by her Husband Harod J. Meaux of Houston, Tx a son 
Duane O. Meaux of Kaplan, her mother Hild M. Celestine of Abbeville, father-in-
law and mother-in-law Rev. and Mrs Hollins Meaux, three sisters, Mary Celestine 
of Abbeville, Bonnie Gauthier of Baton Rouge and Vivian Woods of Houston, Tx, 
one brother Earl Celestine of Houston, Tx, one grandson Duane O. Jones of 
Houston, Tx, a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, sisters-in-law and 
brothers-in-laws.
 She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Q. Celestine and one brother 
Oliver Austin Clelestine.
 Raphael Funeral Home of Lafayette was in charge of funeral arrangements.
