A native and lifelong resident of Abbeville, Sandra died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at Lafayette General Medical Center following a brave and graceful struggle with cancer. She was 52. Sandra retired in April of this year from Bank One. She was the assistant manager at the Southpark branch in Lafayette. She had worked in the banking industry for 30 years. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Oran Meche; her mother, Zoie Broussard LeBlanc; her daughter, Dana Dubois Lastrapes and her husband, David, all of Abbeville; her stepson, Karl David Meche and his wife, Christie, of Lafayette; her sister, Peggy Palombo and her husband, Stafford, of Baton Rouge; her two brothers, Kelly LeBlanc and his wife, Betty, and Earl LeBlanc and his wife, Sharron, all of Abbeville; and her four precious grandchildren, Conner and Catherine Meche and Mallory and Blake Lastrapes.
