(New Iberia, La.) 1885-1902, March 18, 1885, Image 2 Death of an Old Citizen. - We regret to be compelled to chronicle the demise Monday night, of Mr. Leo Perret, an old and highly respected citizen of this place. Mr. Perret, in common with many of our old people, had seen his share of vicissitudes and troubles, and probably looked to death as a welcome relief from his afflictions. Peace to his ashes. 2nd. Obituary: source: The Meridional. (Abbeville, La.) 1856-1906, March 28, 1885, English, Image 2 Mr. Leo Perret, a former resident of this place died in New Iberia on Monday, March 16th. He had many friends in this parish where held the office of recorder of deeds and mortgages for a number of years up to the abolition of that office by the constitution of 1879.
