The scripture read was Proverbs 31:10-31. The Rev. Savoie in eulogy on Granny said that though the Bible passage is often read in honor of other outstanding women, most of the verses are usually true only in a figurative sense, but of her they were literally true, even such lines as "She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff," as well as "Her children arise up, and call her blessed".
