FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR JEAN B. SIMON, 88. - Lafayette, La. - Jean Baptist Simon, 
planter of Lafayette parish, died at his home in the Fourth Ward at the age of 
88. Funeral services were held at the Youngsville Catholic church, followed by 
interment in the Catholic cemetery there.

He is survived by his widow, nee Marie Vincent; one daughter, Mrs. Stanislaus 
Landry; two sons, Felicien and Jean Simon; two sisters, Mrs. Maxime Bourque, 
Lafayette parish, and Mrs. Gregory Simon, Vermilion parish; 11 grandchildren, 33 
great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
