(Lafayette, Louisiana) Thursday, December 28, 1950, page 4 Mrs. Jules Simon Dies in Rayne. - (Special to the Advertiser) RAYNE, La., Dec. 28 - Mrs. Jules Simon, the former Emelie Leger, 86, died here today at the residence of her daughter Mrs. Rousseau Domingue at 3:30 am.m. The remains are resting at the FFirst [sic] National Funeral home. Funeral services are to be held Friday, Dec. 29 at 10 a.m. st st. Alphonss [sic] Catholic church in Maurice. The funeral cortege will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. St. Alphonsus [sic] Catholic cemetery. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Rousseau Domingue of Rayne, Mrs. Dubertus Bourque of Port Arthur, Texas; three sons, GGordy [sic], Dimon of Lafayette, Kossuth Simon of rayne [sic], and Victor Simon of Ridge, La.,; one sister, Mrs. Demosthene Arabie of Indian Bayou, and 28 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
