Wilson. - The death of Mr. Edwin S. Wilson, of Gueydan, occurred at the sanitarium in Crowley last Saturday night May 6th, at 8:45 o'clock from typhoid fever and other complications which set in afterwards. Mr. Wilson was born February 16th, 1876. The funeral services were held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Summers, of this city, at which a very large gathering was present to pay their last tribute to deceased friend. After the services at the residence the remains were conveyed to the new Masonic cemetery, followed by an exceptionally large procession, where they were laid to rest. The deceased is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Laura Summers, and two little daughters. Mr. Wilson was a valued and trustworthy employs of the United Irrigation and Rice Milling Co., who operate irrigation canals, etc., and Mr. Wilson was in charge of their interests in this parish. He had a large following of friends and was liked by every one who knew him. We join with the many others in extending to the bereaved family our sincere sympathy in their sad and untimely bereavement.
