Jr. LCAP 9/13/1998 GUEYDAN -- Funeral services for Francis William ''Billy'' Zaunbrecher, 29, of Lafayette will be at 1:30 p.m. today, Sept. 13, from St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will be in Gueydan Cemetery under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home. Mr. Zaunbrecher died at 4:20 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 1998, in a Houston hospital. ZAUNBRECHER, Laura M. — LCAP 6/1/2002 LAKE ARTHUR — Laura Mae Zaunbrecher, 68, died at 4:53 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2002, in the Jennings hospital. She was a native of Gueydan. She was a member and past regent of Catholic Daughters of America. She was a lay minister. Survivors include her husband, Julian G. Zaunbrecher of Lake Arthur; two sons, Zachary Zaunbrecher and Gregory Zaunbrecher, both of Lake Arthur; one daughter, Priscilla Z. Hanks of Lake Arthur; and five grandchildren. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. today, June 1, from Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. The Rev. Maurice Martineau will officiate. Burial will be in Thornwell Cemetery under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Visitation is from 8 a.m. ZAUNBRECHER, Roger P. — LCAP 9/2/2001 LAKE ARTHUR — Funeral services for Roger Paul Zaunbrecher, 37, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3, from Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. The Rev. Maurice Martineau will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home. Visitation is 2-9:30 p.m. today, with rosaries at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., and from 8 a.m. Monday. Mr. Zaunbrecher died at 3:25 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, in the Jennings hospital. A native of Kaplan, he was a resident of Lake Arthur. He was a graduate of Lake Arthur High School and McNeese State University. He was a rice, wheat and soybean farmer. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 3012, Jeff David Rice Growers and the New Hope Cancer Support Group. Survivors include two sons, Garrett Isaak Zaunbrecher and Tanner William Zaunbrecher, both of Lake Arthur; three brothers, Randal Zaunbrecher, Russel Zaunbrecher and Ronny Zaunbrecher, all of Lake Arthur; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald (Eldie) Zaunbrecher of Lake Arthur; and his maternal grandmother, Ophelie Bourque of Gueydan.
