BAGLEY -- LYONS

Married. - At the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Abbeville, on Monday, the 11th 
December 1878, by the Rev. Father Mehault, Mr. Martin Bagley to Miss Rosa Lyons, 
of this parish.

The bride was most tastefully arrayed in a dress of fashionable make and fine 
material, which did great credit to the skill of the lady whose handiwork it 
was. A flowing veil of tulle enveloped a modest, pretty face, but did not once 
conceal the trim, neat figure of the bride. The bridal groupe (sic) having 
arranged themselves, the officiating clergyman, in the dignity of spotless 
black, opened the marriage service, and the twain were soon made one. We give 
them joy; and wish them a long life of happiness and prosperity.

At night a grand Ball was given in honor of the newly married couple, and 
everything passed off to the entire satisfaction of those concerned. Those who 
attended "tripped the light fantastic toe" 'till about 12 o'clock and then 
wended their way home, to seek "nature's sweet restorer, balmy sleep."

An error occurred in last wek's issue in reference to the marriage of Mr. Martin
Bagley and Miss Rosa Lyons, They were married, on the 11th of February, instead of
the 11th of December, 1878. - We make all due apologies.
