Parish of Ouachitta:  Richard Boyd as principal and Greene [unreadable] his
security acknowledged to owe and be indebted unto Lewis F. Lamy Parish
Judge and his successors in office in the sum Five hundred dollars to the
payment whereof will and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs
executors and assigns firmly by these presents dated this 29th day of May
A.D. 1840.
The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas a marriage is
about to take place between Mr. Richard Boyd and Miss Henrietta Gregor
Now therefore if there does not exist any legal impediment to said intended
marriage then and in that case the above obligation to be null and void
else to remain in full force and virtue.
