"In memory off Mrs. Georgia Ann E. Boswell. The subject of this sketch was born in Harrison County, Mississippi, May 7, 1855. Her parents moved to Louisiana in 1858, where she grew to womanhood and was married to G.W. Boswell on May 5, 1870. She joined Missionary Baptist Church in summer of 1876, was baptized by Elder Michael Smith, being the second person baptized where she lived. She lived a faithful member about 22 years, and died May 20, 1899, age 44 years and 15 days. She leaves a devoted husband, seven sons, and three daughters, besides a host of friends and relatives. The funeral service was conducted by Elder Michael Smith. Her remains are in the family graveyard at Laurel Hill Cemetery. It's hard to break the tender cord, when love has bound the heart. It's hard, so hard, to speak the word, must we forever part. Dearest loved one, we have laid thee, in the Peaceful grave, but thy memory will be cherished, till we see thy heavenly face."
