(MOONEY) was born 2 Jul 1844 AL, died 26 Aug 1915 LA, and is buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Leander (Vernon) LA. She married to Thomas F. Crawford on 13 Oct 1862, and three daughters were born. Mary E. Mooney Crawford’s obituary in the Vernon Baptist Associational Meeting Minutes stated: “Mary E. Mooney was born in Choctaw County, Alabama on July 2, 1845, moved to Vernon Parish Louisiana in 1860. [Note in 1860, Vernon Parish did not exist, was actually part of Rapides Parish.] She married Thomas F. Crawford October 13, 1862. She joined the Baptist Church at Walnut Hill in 1882, lived a considence [sic] member until her death. She died in the residence of G. W. Ingalls, August 26, 1915, aged 70 years, 1 month, 24 days. Her married life was 52 years, 10 months, 11 days, leaves a host of friends.” Her issue: Francis Elizabeth, Mary, and Sarah Catherine Crawford.
