William N. Laurence
William N. Laurence (Jul 1860), son of Francis Laurence and Margaret 
McGraw, married in 1885/1886 to Ellen Stanley (Dec 1861); was baptized 
into Laurel Hill Baptist Church in 1896. He sold the property where the 
graveyard and church now stand to the membership of Laurel Hill Church 
(deed, 17 Nov 1900, Vernon Parish, LA).
The issue: (1) Sopalina M. (Oct 1886), married ? Chance; (2) Eliza E. 
(May 1888), married ? Freeman; (3) John F. (Jul 1889/1970), married Emma ? 
(1891/1970); (4) William N. (29 Oct 1890/5 Jul 1900, Laurel Hill Cemetery); 
(5) Sarah C. (May 1892), married ? Gillespie; (6) Martha F. (Jun 1895); 
(7) Albert A. (Sep 1894); (8) Edward P. (Jun 1898); (9) Kate, married ? 
Gillespie; and (10) Ellen Laurence, married ? Stanley.
