Miller Cemetery at Evans - Vernon Parish, Louisiana Submitted by Jane McManus ********************************************** Copyright. All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Directions: At Evans, go 4.8 miles South on LA Hwy. 111, turn left onto Oakes Allardyce Road. Go approximately 1.9 miles and turn right (South) onto unimproved dirt trail. A short distance down this trail, the road forks. Take the left fork and go a short distance over the overgrown trail. This small abandoned cemetery is on the left, behind a fence in a grove of trees. The weeds and brush and trees are so overgrown inside the fence, it is impossible to determine how many graves are here. However, only three burials were found. Directions were provided by Katie Daffin of Evans, who drove us to this location. Inscriptions were copied by Jane P. McManus, 12 October 1995. Submitted August 10, 2000. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Miller, Ruby Leona, daughter of J.
