There are six (6) mounded graves in this burial ground, and each one has a short wooden post at head and foot. There is no information inscribed on the posts. Prior to the establishment of Fort Polk, this property originally belonged to Lee Woods & Mary Elizabeth Perkins, who buried family members in this small plot located next to their house.
