Pickering, La.  June 21, 1908

Constitution of the Missionary Baptist Church of the Phillips community 
to be known as the Davis Church. Be it known unto all whom it may concern, 
that we the following named members of Christ’s body, who have been 
baptized upon a profession of our faith in Christ, have this day agreed 
to give ourselves to the Lord, and to one another in love, for the purpose 
of keeping house for the Lord in a church capacity, and to keep a Godly 
discipline in faith and practice.
