This photo is Mt. Pleasant Church that was built in
Simpson Louisiana ca 1860-1870.  The church was used as a
schoolhouse during the week, and church on Sunday.
Rev. Allen W. Jackson was the first minister here,
and his burial was the first at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
The location can been seen in the background as a roof-covered burial.
