BE IT KNOWN: that on this the 29th day of July, 1953, before me, R. L. Winfree, a Notary Public, duly commissioned and qualified in and for said Parish and State, and in the presence of the undersigned competent, attesting witnesses, on this day personally came and appeared A. James McDonald, a resident of Vernon Parish, Louisiana, who declared and acknowledged unto me, said Notary Public, that for and in consideration of the price and sum of Fifty and no/100 Dollars ($50.00) to him cash in hand paid, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and full acquittance and discharge granted therefor has granted, sold and conveyed, and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell and convey, with full and complete subrogation to all of his rights and actions of warranty against all former owners and vendors, unto Claude Mayo and Ann McDaniel Mayo, residents of Vernon Parish, Louisiana, property, situated in the Parish of Vernon, Louisiana, known and described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the Southwest corner of a 6 acre tract acquired by vendors (Harry C. Weatherwax and Elizabeth B. Weatherwax) from Frank Lazerri by deed dated September 5, 1934, recorded in Conveyance book 106, at Page 369, of the records of Vernon Parish; thence East 100 feet; thence North 109 feet; thence West 100 feet; thence South 109 feet to the place of beginning containing one-fourth of an acre, more or less, situated in the SW, of NW, Section 13, Township 2 North, Range 9 West. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said property and appurtenances unto the said purchasers, heirs and assigns forever, and the said Grantor agrees to warrant and forever defend the title thereto unto the said Grantees, heirs and assigns, against any person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. The said Grantor declared unto me, said Notary Public, that he is a widower, and that it is understood that the grantees are husband and wife.
