Triplets Born To Mrs. Deason 
Of the Pitkin Area 

The score in the number of boys and girls in the Lonnie Deason family 
of the Pitkin area in Ward 5, was evened to four all, but only after 
the arrival on Sunday July 1, of triples, two girls and a boy. Mrs. 
Deason gave birth to the triplets, the first reported born in Vernon 
Parish in some time, at the Leesville Hospital on Sunday, with Dr. E. 
M. Shaw attending. Before the arrival of the triplets Mr. and Mrs. 
Deason had five childern, three boys and two girls. The new arrivals 
are Bonita Jane three and a quarter pounds; Ouita Lane, three and a 
quarter pounds, and Alfred Wayne Deason, five and a half pounds. At 
last report, the mother and triplets were "doing fine"-also the father.
