McCullough, of the Parish of Vernon do hereby apply to enter under the provisions of Act No. 235 of the Legislature of the State of Louisiana, approved July 6, 1988, entitled "An Act to provide Homesteads for actual settlers upon lands adjudicated to the State for unpaid taxes due thereon", the Ten acres of land in Northwest corner of Northwest quarter of Northeast quarter; and lying North of Public Road and West of Six Mile Creek of Section Eight in Township No Two South of Range No Five West in the Parish of Vernon, containing Ten (10) Acres, and agree to pay the amount of taxes and costs for the year for which said land was adjudicated to the State, amounting to $20.01 when notified that said land is subject to entry. McCullough, of the Parish of Vernon, having files my application No. 480 for an entry under the provisions of the Act No. 235 of the Legislature of the State of Louisiana, approved July 6, 1938, entitled "An Act to provide Homesteads for actual settlers on lands adjudicated to the State for unpaid taxes due thereon," do solemnly swear that I am a citizen of the State of Louisiana, and the head of the family, or twenty-one years or more of age, that I make this entry for the purpose of actual settlement and cultivation, that said application is made for my own exclusive use and benefit, and not directly or indirectly for the use and benefit of any other person, corporation or syndicate, to give them the benefit of the land or any part thereof or the timber thereon.
