McCollough married man now residing with my second wife first wife maiden name Harriet Briant, resident of the Parish of Vernon, State of Louisiana, for and in consideration of the sum of $250.00 two hundred and fifty dollars to me in hand paid by Georgiana Carruth have granted, sold and conveyed, and by these presents do grant, sell and convey, with full subrogation to all my rights and actions of warranty against all former owners and vendors, unto the said Georgiana Carruth of the Parish of Vernon, and State of Louisiana, all that certain lot or parcel of land situate in the Parish of Vernon, State of Louisiana, to wit: 8 acres of land situated in the SW corner of the NW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Sec 2 township 1 one South of Range 5 West La Merd. all that part lying south of a certain parcel running through said tract of land including all the improvements thereon. To have and to hold the above described premises, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging, unto the said purchases and to heirs and assigns, forever; and I do hereby bind myself and my heirs, executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Georgiana Carruth, her heirs and assigns, against any person whomsoever legally claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Ward Carruth died aft. 16 Jun 1880 and abt 1895, Wilburn Carruth married 3rd wife, Georgiana (Georgia Ann) Davis. Wilburn died in 1908.
