July Celebration Leesville EVERYONE in Vernon Parish and the Neighboring Parishes are urged to attend Leesville's 4th of July Blow Out, It Promises to be the Greatest Celebration that this section of the State has yet seen. The Program 9:00 A.M. Parade Plans are not yet complete forthis event put [but] prixes will be offered and a good Parade is asured: 10:00 A.M. Battle Royal Five Big Negroes will be put in the ring. Every man for him self, the last man in the ring gets the money. 11: A.M. Speaking Several Good Speakers are under consideration and the best of these will be the orator of the day. 12:00 M. Barbecue We will set the Most Bountiful Table that you have ever seen at a Free Barbecue the money is in the bank, so a good feed is assured all visitors. 1:30 p.m. Boxing Contest Dave McCollough, Leesville vs Tommy Lettis, Fullerton Dave has won 11 fights and lost none his weight is 185 lbs. Tommy is a veteran fighter andis matter of all the old ring tricks, his weight is180 lbs. 2:30 p.m. Contests Confined to the humerous events, Greasy Pole, Greasy Pig etc. Prizes Offered. 4:00 p. m. Ball Game Slage vs Shreveport Slage needs no introduction They are the fastest in this part of the State. Interstate Electric Co.'s team of Shreveport has defeated Minden, Natchitoches and are champions of the City League at Shreveport. They are fast, Slage watch your step. 7:30 p.m. Dance A High Priced Orchestra The Dixie Serenaders has been obtained for this event.
