Margie Bass

Margie Bass, age 70, of Pineville, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2006
at Rapides Regional Hospital. She was a native of Cravens, Louisiana
but resided in Pineville.
 
She leaves behind four children, Betty Iber and husband Pedro of
Pitkin, Debbie Willis and husband Otis of Anacoco, Jimmy Roy Ashworth
and Brenda Sue Ashworth of Alexandria; four sisters, Sue Mitchell,
Lutherine Ashworth, Nita Norlander, and Linda Gates; four brothers,
Julus Bass, Homer Bass, Larry Bass, and Donald Bass; nine
grandchildren, Jeffrey Iber, Kevin Willis, Wendy Johnson, Bridget
Etcheson, Melanie Iber, Brandon Willis, James Edwards, Steven Edwards,
and Melissa List; eight great grandchildren; a host of nieces and
nephews; two aunts, Ruth Calcote and Lucille White Day, all whom she
dearly loved.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Ashworth; her parents,
Luster and Vergie Bass; and one brother, Ronald Bass.
 
Friends may call for visitation at Gravel Hill Baptist Church in
Cravens, from Noon until 9 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2006 and from 8
a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2006. The
service will be under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of
DeRidder.
