Funeral services for Barbara Bass, 72, were held at Gravel Hill Baptist
Church at 10 a.m. Monday, May 19, with burial in Gravel Hill cemetery
under direction of Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder. Rev. Carroll Teal
and Rev. Alfred Carroll officiating.

Mrs. Bass died at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, May 17 at the family residence.

Survivors include husband, James Bass, Pitkin, two daughters, Mrs.
Tressie Pelt, Pitkin, Mrs. Marie Monroe, Glenmora; four sons, Zealie
Johnson, Glenmora, Lincoln Bass, Pitkin, Coy J. Bass, New Llano and D.
C. Willis, Dry Creek; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
