Obituary: Dewey Brister

Taken from the Beauregard News
August 15, 1965

Mr. Dewey Brister
Mr. Dewey Owens Brister, 67, of DeRidder, died July 31, at 10:30 a.m. 
in Beauregard Memorial Baptist Hospital. Funeral services were held in 
Beauregard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larson Thompson officiating.
Burial was in the Drake Fork Cemetery at Cravens.

Mr. Brister had been a resident of DeRidder for the past 20 years and 
was a native of Pitkin, La.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Lizzie Gill Brister, DeRidder, four sons, 
one daughter, two brothers, Harrison Brister of Piktin, and Luke Brister 
of DeRidder, 10 grandchildren.
