Henry H. Brister
  Funeral services for Henry H. Brister of Pitkin were held at 
10 a.m. Friday, September 5, in the Old Drakes Fork Church, with
the Rev. Clarence Dees officiating. Intermnet was in Drakes Fork 
Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson's Funeral Home of DeRidder.
  Mr. Brister died at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, in Memorial
Baptist Hospital in DeRidder. He was 80 years old. He was a member 
of the Marlow Baptist Church.
  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Henry H. [Gussie Mae] Brister of 
Pitkin; five sons, [Garland Brister and wife, Dorthy of Houston]; 
two daughters, [Alma Lea Wolfe and husband, William M. Wolfe];
23 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; a brother, Luke 
Brister of DeRidder.
