Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mrs. Buchanan, age 88, of Pitkin, entered eternal rest Friday, May 20, 2005 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. She was born March 17, 1917 to the union of Willie and Leona Bailey James in Cravens. She was a member of the Gravel Hill Baptist Church and was a retired seamstress of 25 years of service from Fort Polk. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Eddie Johnson and Orvel Buchanan; one sister, Carrie Perminter; and one son-in-law, Rev. Carroll Teal. She is survived by one daughter, Jeanette Teal of Hineston; two sons, Kenneth Johnson of Rosepine and Curtis Johnson of Cravens; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers honored to serve will be her grandsons, Rodney, Roland and Rocky Teal, Dusty Dousay, Eddie Johnson and Neil Guidry. Visitation will be observed today in the church until time of service at 2 p.m
