Calcote DERIDDER - Services for Joseph W. "Joe" Calcote will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Hixson with the Revs. Jerry Masters and Doyle Cooper officiating Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery in Cravens. Calcote, 78, of DeRidder died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999, in Beauregard Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Leesville and lived most of his life in the Beauregard-Vernon Parish area. He was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Schlumberger in 1970 as a painter and was a member of First United Baptist Church in DeRidder. He was a member of Masonic Lodge F&AM #271. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Calcote of DeRidder; and one brother, Durl G. Calcote of DeRidder. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of services Sunday in funeral home.
