CRAVENS -- Services for Douglas Carroll, 23, were Monday in Gravel Hill
Baptist Church. The Revs. Curtis Dickens and H.C. Hebert officiated.

Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Beauregard
Funeral Home, DeRidder.

Carroll, of Rosepine, died Saturday in an offshore drilling accident.

He was a native of DeRidder and was employed by Keyes Offshore Oil Co.
Carroll was the son of the late Rev. Alfred Carroll of Rosepine.

Survivors include his wife, LeNora Day Carroll of Rosepine; one son,
Douglas Kent Carroll II of Rosepine; his mother, Meldaise Carroll of
Rosepine; one brother, Lester Carroll of Rosepine; two sisters, Rhonda
Deason of Pitkin and Velena Carroll of Rosepine; and his maternal
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ottis Clark of Turkey Creek.
