Carver Marshall Carver (July 2, 1910 - Jan 16, 2002) Marshall H(oliday) Carver, 91, died Wednesday at home following a long illness. Born in Leesville, La., he lived in Vallejo and Benicia for 40 years before moving to Fremont two years ago. Mr. Carver served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years and was Pearl Harbor survivor; he retired in 1957. He also worked for Solano County Welfare Department, as an aide to dependent children retiring in 1975. Mr. Carver was a Master Mason for Bay Cities Richmond area; past president of the Square Dance Organizations in the Richmond and San Pablo Area; past treasurer of the Pearl Harbor Survivor Chapter; and past president of the Richmond Square Dance Club "Catch All Eight." He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Burnette. Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Hood of Daly City; son, John (Eunice) of San Diego; sisters, Cleola, Claudia Vae, Grace, and Laural all of Louisiana; brothers, Austin and Cullen both of Louisiana; Grover of Monterey; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m. both at Skyview Funeral Chapel, Vallejo. Service will be officiated by Steve Flynn, burial at Skyview Memorial Lawn, Vallejo. Contributions preferred to Skyview Memorial Lawn.
