Mother of Police Jury President 
Died Saturday 
Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Cole 
Deason, 79, mother of John W. Deason, 
president of the Police Jury, who died 
Saturday, August 15, at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. John Spugeon, in the Hicks 
community, were held Sunday from the 
Ebenezer Church, in the Hicks community, 
at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Willie Jackson 
and the Rev. Wm. Gordy, officiating. 
Interment was in the Ebenezer cemetry, 
under direction of the Roberts Funeral 
Home, DeRidder. 
Surviving are, a daughter, Mrs John 
Spurgeon, two sons, John W. Deason 
and Allice Deason.
