Vera M. Bennett Flowers
(March 7, 1937 - June 6, 2013) 

A Funeral services for Vera M. Bennett Flowers, 76, will be Sunday, June 
9, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Simpson Baptist Church in Simpson with Rev. 
Jeremy Blocker officiating, the burial will follow in the Welcome 
Cemetery in Simpson.

Friends may visit Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Simpson Baptist Church 
from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.

Vera the daughter of Earl and Clara Mae Bennett was born Sunday, March 
7, 1937 in Simpson, LA and passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013 at her 
residence in Lafayette. In her younger years, Vera was an Eastern Star. 
She enjoyed fishing and a good meal, but she especially loved spending 
time with her family. Vera was a loving and supportive wife, mother, 
grandmother and will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Flowers is survived by her two children, David Flowers and his wife 
Jan of Lafayette; daughter, Diana Neal and her husband Craig of 
Lafayette; sister, Phyllisann Monroe and her husband Fredy of Simpson; 
four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Flowers, daughter, Bina 
Flowers and her parents.
