Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec., 21, at Coffman chapel in Harrison with Eddie Hodges officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 o.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The son of Harvey M and Lois L. (Legg) Gibson was born April 13, 1926 at Pikin, Louisiana. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and was a field operations manager for Ohmstede, Inc. Mr. Gibson moved here from Beaumont, Texas in 1991 and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Wayne Gibson; three sisters and one infant brother. Survivors include his wife, Lois (Fourt) Gibson of Harrison; one son, Jim Gibson of Hull, Texas; two brothers, Mid Gibson of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Jim Gibson of Flower Mound, Texas; five sisters, Marie Hughes of Golden, Colorado, Tressie Lou Sitko of Powhatan Point, Ohio, Joyce Hammond of St. Louis, MO, Betty Bunting of Oberlin, LA and Brenda Holaway of Pitkin, LA; and three grandchildren.
