Betty Jean Williamson Gorum
(August 3, 1933 - September 12, 2011) 

Celebration of life for Betty Jean Williamson Gorum, 78, of Leesville, 
Louisiana will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011, at 
Antioch Baptist Church in Slagle. Burial will follow in the Comrade 
Cemetery in Hutton, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral 
Home of Leesville.

Visitation will be held from 5 pm - 8 pm, Wednesday, September 14, 2011, 
at the funeral home.

Betty was born August 3, 1933, in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late 
Leroy and Inona Mann Williamson and was called to her heavenly home 
September 12, 2011. Granny or Nanny, as she was called by everyone, 
retired as a nurse from the State of LA Social Services. Granny was an 
incredible witness for our Lord with everyone she came in contact with. 
She loved her children beyond measure.

Granny was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marion Lee Gorum, 
Sr., whom she was married to for fifty-seven years.

Left to cherish the precious memories of Granny will be her children and 
their spouses, Steve and Janie Gorum, Vicki and Dewayne Pylant, Mark and 
Pat Gorum, Linda and Larry Young and M. L. Gorum, Sr., and Nettie Gorum, 
16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, along with many extended 
family members and a bounty of wonderful friends.
