Isadore G. Dowden
Leesville

Services for Isadore G. Dowden will be at 2 pm today in the chapel of
Hixson with the Rev. Sammy Morrow officiating. Burial will be in Castor
Cemetery. Dowden, 90, of Leesville died at 9:45 pm Saturday [Oct. 24,
1987] in Byrd Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Kisatchie, retired
from the U.S. Postal Service and a World War I Army veteran. Survivors
include four sons, Glen I. Dowden, Gilbert O. Dowden, Ray E. Dowden, 
and Huey A. Dowden, all of Leesville; one daughter, Helen Grant of
Leesville; one sister, Grace Muller of Galveston, Texas; 16 grandchildren
and 25 great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 8 am today in the funeral
home.
