John H. Dowden
Leesville

Services for John Harvey Dowden will be at 2 pm today in First 
Pentecostal Church with the Revs. M.C. Green and W.A. Bingaman
officiating. Burial will be in Castor Cemetery under the direction
of Beauregard. Dowden, 72, of Leesville died at 9:30 pm Monday in 
Byrd Memorial Hospital. He was a refrigeration mechanic. Survivors
include two daughters, Margie D. Nash of Leesville and Mildred
Bingaman of Huffman, Texas; six sons, the Rev. Clyde O. Dowden of
Pitkin, John E. Dowden, Hardy R. Dowden, George K. Dowden, Jimmy L.
Dowden and Charles Thomas Dowden, all of Leesville; one brother,
John Paul Dowden of Houston; one sister, Nettie McDaniel of Moss
Bluff; 31 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
