Funeral services for Mrs. Dovie Johnson will be held at 11 a.m. on 
Saturday, February 24, 2007 in Gravel Hill Baptist Church, Cravens with 
Reverends Arlen Smith and James Johnson officiating. Interment will 
follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral 
Home, Oakdale. 
Mrs. Johnson, 87, of Cravens entered eternal rest on Wednesday,
February 21, 2007 in East Houston Memorial Hospital.
Dovie was a loving wife and mother, and a wonderful grandmother. She 
was a lifelong member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church. She worked hard, 
praised the Lord and raised her children. 
She was preceded in death by her husband Boss Johnson and two sons, Joe 
Johnson and Milton Johnson. 
Survivors include seven sons, Herman Johnson and his wife, Lillie of 
Onalaska, Texas, Troy Johnson of Lufkin, Texas, Milford Johnson and his 
wife, Linda of Canyon Lake, Texas, Rudolph Johnson and his wife, Cathy 
of Magazine, Arkansas, Larry Johnson and his wife, Guy of DeRidder, 
Roger Johnson and his wife, Renee of Pitkin, and Alan Johnson of 
Porter, Texas; one daughter, Thelma McKee and her husband, Oscar of 
Channelview, Texas; twenty-three grandchildren and over twenty-five 
great grandchildren. 
Friends may call at the Gravel Hill Baptist Church, Cravens on Friday, 
February 23, 2007 from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on 
Saturday, February 24, 2007.
